The National Physical Education and School Sport Professional Development Programme is part of the joint Department of Children, Schools and Families (DCSF), and Department of Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) Physical Education and Sport Strategy for Young People (PESSYP). The programme is managed by a consortium comprising the Youth Sport Trust, the association for Physical Education and sports coach UK, and is delivered by a network of Local Delivery Agencies. Access to the programme is an entitlement for all teachers and Adults Supporting Learning in England.
